Hi, I'm the one behind CheapSeasUK.
I've been cruising for about ten years now, and it didn't start with money to spare. It started with hours spent hunting for the best possible price, because a cruise felt like something other people did, not us.
My first one was a week around the Greek islands in the Mediterranean, I got it down to £400 per person, and that trip is basically why this site exists. Once I saw what was actually possible, I couldn't stop looking for the next good one. Ten years on, I've got a lot better at spotting them.
Ten years, a few continents, and one very determined deal hunt at a time.
My husband is the explorer of the two of us, he wants to see everywhere, and cruising turned out to be the best way to do that without booking a new flight and hotel for every stop. A few years ago that took us on a cruise around China, Japan and South Korea for £999pp, three countries most people spend years planning to visit separately, done in one trip.
In between the big ones, it's usually the food and the onboard entertainment that keep pulling us back. Cruising's reputation for "unnecessary luxury" isn't wrong, exactly, it's just a lot more affordable than people assume, which is the whole point of this site.
These days we've got a baby, so I'm learning a whole new version of this: how to actually cruise well with a little one, not just as a couple. Expect a few posts on that front too, because the answer is not "wait until they're older."
What I actually do
I watch fares across the major cruise lines and travel partners, and share the ones that genuinely stand out, with the real cabin type, what's included, and anything that might make a "deal" less of one than it looks. When I share a sailing, I link you straight through to book it at the same price you'd find going there directly.
How this makes money
Some of the links on this site are affiliate links, meaning I may earn a small commission if you book through them, at no extra cost to you. It's the only way this stays free and ad-free for readers. Full detail is on the Privacy & disclosure page, and I'll never let it change which deals I share or how honestly I describe them.
Got a question, or spotted a great deal yourself?
Come say hello on Instagram, that's where I'm most active day to day.
